Asus officially launched the world of ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate.
As its successors, the ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate offer improvements over their predecessors. It promises a better mobile gaming experience.
The ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate have 6.78-inch AMOLED displays with Full HD+ resolution. Asus supports 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, 1500nits brightness, and is Pixelworks certified. Asus powers the ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The combination promises accelerated performance for playing heavy games.
For more optimized gaming, Asus has integrated GameCool 7 and custom settings. The GameCool 7 cooling system can cool the CPU in all directions.
The Boron Nitride (BN) heatsink compound on one side of the processor reduces throttling. Mid-session is handled by a larger vapor chamber and graphite plate on the other side of the processor.
Finally, the AeroActive 7 Cooler features a fan placed just above the active CPU module for AI-powered active cooling, with Peltier elements to improve cooling performance.

There is an AirTrigger ultrasonic sensor on the side of the phone. Users can map it to any touch command on the screen and use unique gestures for various actions, such as tap, swipe, tap, and lift.
Gyroscope targeting allows more precision than on-screen joysticks, and vibration mapping allows users to map haptic feedback to on-screen buttons.
New software features further enhance the gaming experience. X Sense helps players detect important on-screen events, such as the arrival of an important new map feature or the approach of an enemy with a pop-up message.

The phone is rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance, compared to IPX4 on the ROG Phone 6. It features an in-display fingerprint scanner. It includes a 50-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor, as well as a 13-megapixel 125° ultra-wide camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a new 32-megapixel front camera.
The ROG Phone 7 sports the ROG logo (RGB lights) and the 7 Ultimate comes with a PMOLED ROG Vision color display. The phone packs a 6,000mAh dual-cell battery with 65W HyperCharge fast charging.
The ROG Phone 7 comes in Storm White and Phantom Black colors for EUR 999 in Europe for the 12/128 GB configuration. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate comes in Storm White and is priced at EUR 1,399 for the 16GB + 512GB model and comes with an Areo Active Cooler 7 in the retail box.
